Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man

"Ain't No Other Man" is a Grammy Award winning song written by Christina Aguilera, Charles Roane, DJ Premier, Harold Beatty, and Kara DioGuardi for Aguilera's third studio album Back to Basics (2006). The song was released as the album's lead single in June 2006. The song won a 2007 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

 



"Ain't No Other Man" is a song composed in the key of F minor. It is written in common time and moves at a moderately fast tempo of 128 beats per minute. Most of the lines end in a sample of The Moon People's 1969 song "Hippy Skippy Moon Strut". The song also samples The Soul Seven's 1969 song "The Cissy's Thang". Aguilera's voice spans nearly two octaves in the song, from A♭3 to F5.

The song was released to the iTunes Music Store on June 3. The single was released over two weeks in the UK. CD1, featuring the Radio Edit and Instrumental was released on July 24, 2006. CD2, featuring the Album & A cappella versions, and two remixes of the track was released on July 31, 2006.

At the MTV Movie Awards Christina said following about the song:
“     I wanted to make it light and easy for people to dance to and sing along to, so the whole song is based on feel-good elements of soul and blues and jazz. Lyrically, I just got married, so it's about someone in particular, but it's all about feeling good and not taking anything too seriously.[2] It's not a 'love song'. It's fun, it's upbeat, it's got a little bit of a twist in there, a little sass
